What to expect when you take RECESS?

Here's how it works: Get a small group together (4-10 kids) of similar age group. Your group commits to a weekly time slot, with a minimum commitment of 4 weeks.
Programming can be tailored to any level of fitness, from basic movement to sport-specific training.

What to expect when you take SAQ?

Each week, we focus on introducing and developing basic and advanced kinetic movements. The progression program includes drills and activities aimed to improve agility, speed, endurance and explosive power. This is the perfect program to supplement your child's other sports activities.

The WIN Athletic Club SAQ Program is designed to help our younger athletes learn the basics of movement skills and to set the stage for long term athletic development. By working on these fundamental athletic skills at this age, the young athlete will be better prepared to enhance their athletic ability and avoid injury.

Summer Camps

Camps are for kids ages 5-13 and are divided into 2 age groups (K-4th & 5th-8th). We make it easy by offering 6 or 12 class packages - you will not be tied down with an enrollment. COME BECAUSE YOU WANT TO not because you have to!

This camp is great for young kids to get practice in basic movement patterns they will continue to develop throughout their entire childhood. For middle school kids, we will use footwork drills and explosive movements to build strength and fine motor skills so they can improve in whatever sport they play.

Austin Hansen

Personal trainer

Austin is a certified personal trainer who specializes in sport performance and body composition. I’d consider myself a “Jack of All Trades” Trainer and Coach, with knowledge and experience in many aspects of human performance.

I like to take a principles based approach where context is the driving factor for the type of exercise or tools we are utilizing to achieve our goals" From growing up being extremely active and playing a variety of sports, I developed a passion for fitness with an emphasis on improving the composition, performance, and movement optimization of my body. This led to me wanting to help guide others in their pursuit of becoming better physically and mentally, so that they may live longer and healthier lives.

Elle Bandy

FIT 360

Meeting challenges has been something Elle has done her entire life. But after an automobile accident that almost claimed her ability to walk, she made surpassing challenges a major part of her daily regimen. Elle is a competitive powerlifter and proof that anything is possible when you stop listening to others and start cultivating your inner voice.

Certifications: NASM CPT
Elle teaches FIT360 and is an expert in all things strength and conditioning.

Chris Falcon

Co-Founder, Personal Trainer

Chris Falcon is the Co-Founder of WIN Athletic Club and the Founder of Reactive Performance Enhancement Center - the Personal Training division of WIN. He is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist,Youth Exercise Specialist, and Golf Fitness Specialist. He is also a Certified Reiki Healing practitioner. He is a natural born creative, writer, artist, motivational speaker, fitness enthusiast, realtor, podcaster and the 2020 - 2022 President of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce.

Erika Gruner

CO-Owner, Administrator

Erika Gruner was a Division 3 collegiate athlete as a swimmer at Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. At Depauw, she met her husband and co-founder of WIN Athletic Club, Kris Gruner, in a class called “Teaching and Coaching Individual Sports.” While coaching for the Evanston McGaw YMCA swim team, Erika competed in several triathlons in the Chicago-area. Aside from athletic pursuits, Erika worked as an account-executive for Fedex and then became a stay at home mom for her 3 children while running her own small computer consulting business.

She is a spinning certified instructor and loves to fill in when needed teaching WINSpyn and PLYOSpyn. Her main focus is building a strong community at WIN Athletic Club while keeping the administration of building a new business in check.
